Banana smoothie (Serves 2)

Ingredients

  • 1 banana
  • 1 glass low-fat milk
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • ½ teaspoon powdered cinnamon

Method

Blend in a blender and serve.

Omega-3 smoothie (Serves 2)

Folate, iron, manganese, potassium, malic acid, flavonoids, betanin, fibre, protein, vitamin C, vitamin B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, E, K, chromium, calcium, selenium, zinc, omega-3, omega-6

Ingredients

  • 4 carrots (cut)
  • 2 apples (cored and cut)
  • ½ beetroot (cut)
  • 1-tablespoon flax seeds (ground)
  • 1-tablespoon walnuts (ground)
  • 2-tablespoons coriander
  • A pinch of cinnamon powder

Method

Blend ingredients in a blender. Serve.

Aloe drink (Serves 4)

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons aloe vera gel (slit the leaf and remove the gel)
  • 1 cup chopped cucumber
  • 1 cup chopped green apple
  • 1& 1/2 -cup pineapple (peeled and diced)
  • ½ cup coriander and mint leaves

Method

Mix the ingredients in a blender and serve.
